This is a longer description about your blog. 2026-07-15T00:00:00Z https://example.com/ Your Name 2026-07-15T00:00:00Z https://example.com/news/title-II-compliance-extension/ <p>The U.S. Department of Justice published a rule Monday extending the deadline to comply with the changes to Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) by one (1) year. The new compliance deadline for state and local government organizations serving populations of 50,000 or more is now April 26, 2027 (previously April 24, 2026). <br><br></p> <p>Changes to Title II of the ADA set Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Version 2.1 Levels A and AA as the technical standard for state and local organizations’ digital content and digital services.  <br><br></p> <p>In Massachusetts, the Enterprise Digital Accessibility Policy requires that all state digital content and services comply with WCAG Version 2.1 Levels A and AA today.  <br> <br></p> <p>This federal deadline extension does not change our goals or ongoing work to ensure all digital assets are accessible to everyone.<br><br></p> <p>All state organizations must continue to:</p> <ul> <li>Follow the Website Domain Policy</li> <li>Implement the Digital Accessibility Statement on website footers (per previous instructions)</li> <li>Meet all Digital Accessibility Requirements</li> </ul> <p>The Accessibility Center for Consulting, Education and Support Services (ACCESS) offers resources to support your work in identifying and mitigating accessibility issues.<br><br></p> <p>You can:</p> <ul> <li>Sign up for Office Hours</li> <li>Take a Training</li> </ul> <p>Thank you for your continued partnership in making all digital applications and content accessible and usable for everyone in Massachusetts.</p> 2026-07-14T00:00:00Z https://example.com/news/accessibility-site-updates/ <p>Welcome to the refreshed Digital Accessibility at the Commonwealth site. We rebuilt this space to make accessibility guidance easier to find, easier to use, and easier to come back to when you are in the middle of real work. <br><br> The new site brings together the resources teams ask for most often: practical training, testing checklists, office hours, policy guidance, and updates from the ACCESS team.
